Located in a grassy valley with wooded banks and a babbling brook running through the middle, this pretty site is a haven for wildlife. Look out for the buzzards which regularly soar effortlessly above the trees! During a dusk walk you are likely to see roe deer, brown hare, tawny or barn owls and possibly even an otter.

The surrounding quiet country lanes are perfect for exploring by bike – whether you are looking for a nice gentle loop or some serious hills! Access is across a grass field – get ready for some off-roading! Parking is also on grass.

This is a leave no trace site. All guests must bring their own toilet facilities, and dispose of waste responsibly.

About the farm

West Learmouth is a mixed arable and livestock farm, and has been in the same family for 120 years. This year has seen a complete change of direction for the farm, as the Moores move away from intensive farming to an organic system which will increase biodiversity and soil health.

The family plans to establish a variety of traditional and flower-rich grass pastures across the farm which will be grazed by sheep and cattle. The Moores want to encourage bees, bats, kingfishers, hare and deer to make the farm their home, making it a haven for wildlife. Come and see how they are getting on!
