A footpath takes visitors to The Black Bull Inn at Lowick, approx. 1 mile by foot. Nearby activities include walking to see the ancient cup and ring markings at Goat Crags, cycling the peaceful lanes, rock climbing in Kyloe Woods or taking a chilly dip in Roughtin Linn Waterfall!
There is some very slight road noise from the B6525 during the daytime only.
Access directly from a tarmac road, parking on grass.
This is a leave no trace site. All guests must bring their own toilet facilities, and dispose of waste responsibly.

Nothing particularly wrong with this site but the B road is indeed quite intrusive in the early hours. Luckily I had some earplugs.
I’m not the best at orienteering but I had the impression that the pub would be more readily accessible than it proved to be.. I ended up going over a stile but the right turn indicated on it for a PF was in the wrong direction so I gave up in the end.
lots of thistle and nettle in the uncut grass areas so advise to wear jeans if attempting to find the pub
