Nature of East Anglia

3 night trip: Norfolk - Suffolk
Start your trip in the North West corner of Norfolk on the edge of the Nar Valley. The Conkers is a quiet site on the edge of West Bilney woods, perfect for dog walks in the evening. Expect a stay bursting with wildlife due to the bird nesting boxes and beehives in the lower paddock.
Eat: The Angel at Watlington
Visit: Holkham's beach, house, park and gardens
Surrounded by lovely trees and next to a traditional cart pond, this site abounds in wildlife. The farm is an early pioneer of regenerative organic farming practices, so birds, insects and butterflies all get precedence here. Sample the farm produce at the café – the crullers made with the farm’s organic flour are a must-have.
Eat: Old Hall Farm at Woodton for the cafe, deli and farm butchers
Visit: Fisher's Gin tour at Aldeburgh
Head inland for another night in Suffolk at Moorhouse Farm. Enjoy lovely views over the rolling hills of the Glem Valley, and access to a perfect sunset spot at the back of the woodland. Great for walking down the River Glem to the local village pub for supper. The historic market towns of Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury just 20 minutes away.
Eat: The Crown at Hartest
Visit: Lavenham Village, which is famous for wool, silk and Harry Potter

Norfolk Off-Grid

2 night trip: Norfolk
The route starts in North Norfolk at a hidden gem in a disused quarry surrounded by trees and bushes, suitable only for the adventurous 4x4 and those in search of peace and quiet. For a 2WD alternative, head to Manor Farm where you'll look out over your own private lake - perfect for a morning wild swim!
Eat: Wells Crab House at Wells next the Sea
Visit: The Norfolk Coast Path & Peddars Way for day walks along sections of the routes
After a day on the coast, head back south to Bullards Farm in the heart of Norfolk. The farm is uniquely comprised of meadowland, ancient woodland, arable land and wetlands. From your pitch, you’ll be looking out over rolling hills and ancient woodland.
Eat: The Dabbling Duck at Great Massingham

The Ultimate Country and Coast EA350

5 night trip
Start at the southern end of East Anglia, in the beautiful Dedham Vale AONB which inspired painters including Constable and Gainsborough. Stay at this English vineyard where youcan learn about and sample delicious regional wines. Plus, if you are there on a Friday night there is pizza and wine on the terrace of the cafe!
Eat: Old Bakery Cafe at Dedham
Visit: Flatford Mill, the location for The Hay Wain painted by Constable
Continue the journey along the Suffolk coastline, stopping off at the medieval town of Orford and the pastel-coloured seaside town of Aldeburgh, a cultural hub for arts and literature. Regenerative and organic Maple Farm offers a remote and very pretty spot within the Suffolk countryside that's perfect for escaping the stresses of everyday life.
Visit: Anglo-Saxon burial mound at Sutton Hoo
From Suffolk, keep meandering up the coast to the Norfolk Broads, one of Britain’s most iconic and beautiful wetland areas and a delicate ecosystem to rare bird species. From Lily Meadow, you can head to the Waveney River to launch your paddleboard or kayak and explore the Broads from the water.
Eat: Community run pub The Locks Inn at Geldston
Visit: Paddleboarding along the River Waveney
Cross the Broads on the Reedham Ferry for a classic Norfolk experience on the chain ferry. Drive round the top of Norfolk taking in Holkham Bay and National Trust treasure Blickling Hall, to end the day at Manor Farm. This site is in the heart of the farm, looking out onto a lake perfect for a morning wild swim.
Eat: Garden Kitchen Cafe at Hoveton Hall Estate
Visit: Scot Head Island - take the ferry or walk over the cockle causeway at low tide to visit the nature reserve
From Norfolk back to Suffolk the final spot is Moorhouse Farm with mesmerising views across the rolling hills of the Glem Valley for meditative contemplation. There is access to a perfect sunset spot with a firepit at the back of the woodland, where you can watch the wildlife around you as dusk falls.
Eat: Number Ten in Lavenham
Visit: Wyken Vineyard including cafe and Saturday Farmers Market
